The edge of this cliff drops 2,000 feet to the Colorado River. Sadly we only scheduled Dead horse State park as a half day trip. After looking out over the Canyon lands I wish I had more time. Maybe a couple years to explore this immense ever changing landscape will be enough.
Driving off road once again we come across wild horses grazing and frolicking in the desert brush. We are now on a 47 mile dirt road to Horse Shoe Canyon. What lies ahead is some of the most significant prehistoric art in North America.
