The road is closed ahead, 200 plus inches of snow and drifts forged by relentless wind, block the way into the mountains. So here we stand in humbled admiration of the powerful forces that rule this land. We are blessed to be here by choice with winter coats and heated trucks, but lets remember the Blackfeet whose ancestors were given no such choice or convenience, surviving through starvation-winters and drought, persisting as strong and proud as the mountains.
