There is something I love to do when creating portraits of couples. I ask this of all the couples I work with, whether they are only a few months into a relationship or going on 20 years. I take a few exposures of a traditional pose and then I stop. I ask them to look at each other. As they look at one another they might laugh, kiss, or smile lovingly. This request always accomplishes one thing. When they turn back towards the camera both of them will have a big genuine smile on their faces and the room is filled with love. I love seeing that smile on peoples faces!
